Work Zone Safety Week in Illinois By emachado on April 15, 2016

Slow down!  Our attorneys are honored to represent individuals who have been injured on the roadway in construction accidents, but we would love to see our roads safer.

Driving down the expressway in Chicago, you can see often damaged guardrails and demolished cones and barrels along the side of the road.  The steel guardrails are twisted and mangled.  These are the same areas where construction workers often are located when performing their jobs improving our roadways.  Visualizing the destruction that is possible to these objects really makes you stop and think about the damage that can be done to a human if they are impacted by a moving vehicle.    As construction accident injury attorneys, we represent individuals who have been injured in construction-related incidents, on the job site and well as on the roadways.  Construction is a tough job to begin with and the danger increases along the highway.

State and Federal agencies are participating in Work Zone Safety Week in an effort to improve safety for road construction workers.  It is a good time to increase the awareness of road safety as the number of construction crews on the roads will be higher with the warmer weather upon us.
